Life In The Eucharist /First Communion
This program for Grade 3 and up will start in September and will run throughout the year on the third Sunday of each month. Leann Jollimore-Behie will be teaching this class which will prepare children for their First Communion at Easter. We have had an excellent response for this program. If you would like to be added to the class list, please contact Val Pike. Thank you to Leann for offering this ministry to the children.
Sunday School will resume on September 12th. We now have a full teaching staff for the new year. Thank you for all those who have been called to this ministry.
As announced in the Annual Report, I am concluding my work as Sunday School Superintendent at the end of August. A number of teachers have agreed to take on some of the superintendent's work. Thank you to Carol Logan who is going to manage supplies and to Leann Jollimore-Behie who is going to instruct the Life in the Eucharist program. Thank you to Rachel Gullage who is planning to help with the music ministry for the children. I am planning to prepare the instruction materials, class arrangements, cleaning and material orders for September. If anyone is interested in taking on the ministry of Sunday School Superintendent, please contact me so we can spend some of the summer reviewing the programs and event options.
I have enjoyed my years of work with the children and teachers. Thank you to all the congregation and parish groups who have been so supportive of the Sunday School.
